I enjoy taking photos especially of my wonderful grandchildren. My hobby has turned into part of my everyday life.
Entry for September 21, 2006

The weekend is getting closer and closer.  The temperature am is 48 degrees.  It sure is a bummer to have to put on the furance.  Hate that Dominion gets our hard earned money.  Charley had soccer practice last evening.  She looked pretty good.  In fact she was all over the field.  She has a game this Sunday, and hopefully it will not be raining all that hard.  Hunter has football also.  I sure dislike going to the games when the weather is bad.  Springfield's home coming is Friday night and we are suppose to get nothing but rain for the weekend.  Buck also has is annual pig roast this Saturday.  And, Saturday is suppose to be nothing by thunderstorms.  I guess Charlie and I will dress for the weather.  I have to find my old boots and he will need to find his old boots also.  What a miserable weekend for the first day of autumn.  It would have been nice if it was a cool, crisp, and dry weekend.  More of what fall is all about.  Well, maybe next weekend.  Charlie and I will need to take our annual drive to see the colorful leaves. I can hardly wait.

Dear Lord, Please guide me each day to do Your will.  Give me patience, do not make me bitter or nasty, let me think before I say or do something that will upset You and the ones that I love so very dearly.  I need Your help when I get up in the morning.  Please help me to be cheerful and not so ready to criticize.  Amen.

Today's reading:  Humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and in His good time He will honor you.  The Lord despises pride; be assured that the proud will be punished.  And yet, Lord, You are our Father.  We are the clay, and You are the Potter.  We are all formed by Your hand.  Oh, don't be so angry with us, Lord.  Please don't remember our sins forever.  Look at us, we pray, and see that we are all your people.  You disciplined me severely, but I deserved it.  I was like a calf that needed to be trained for the yoke and plow.  Turn me again to You and restore me, for You alone are the Lord my God.  I turned away from God, but then I was sorry.  I kicked myself for my stupidity!  I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days.  It was good for the young to submit to the yoke of His discipline.  Let them sit alone in silence beneath the Lord's demands.  Le tthem lie face down in the dust; then at last there is hope for them.  Evil does not spring from the soil, and trouble does not sprout from the earth.  People are born for trouble as predictably as sparks fly upward from a fire.  Though He brings grief; He also shows compassion according to the greatness of His unfailing love.  For He does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.  We often worry about our position and status, hoping to get proper recognition for what we do.  But God's recognition counts more than human praise.  God is able and willing to bless us according to His timing.  Humbly obey God regardless of present circumstances, and in His good time--either in this life or in the next----He will honor you.             LAB note for 1 Peter 5:6
