The City of Winnipeg has its own online showcase at Winnipeg Official Homepage and you could find interesting facts and figures about this city. There are maps and photo galleries andĀ almost all you could think of about moving around the city. You can also see job postings of the City of Winnipeg government as well as transit information. There's even a pocket guide to the city.

"Winnipeg" means muddy waters in Indian language. That name stuck when the White settlers came. Most of the city were marshes during the olden days but now it's mainly concrete and still growing fast. New buildings are being erected and there are plans for a mass transit system.

There is another website that's worth visiting. It's at Tourism Winnipeg and it's a travel guide and vacation planner about the city's myriad activities and features. Together with the previous site, this site will give you enough info on whether you would like to try living here. (See previous post for link to Immigration Manitoba where one can read about qualification requirements for immigrating to Manitoba).

See you again tomorrow.
