There's another newspaper in this city and it's not a broadsheet. It's more of a tabloid but people equally like it. People on the go actually prefer to read this paper because the print is bigger and there are more pictures. You can visit the online paper at
Winnipeg Sun and just like the Free Press, it is very enlightening about people and events in this city.
The photo is again from
Webshots and is not from Manitoba. I don't like to pretend that just because it is a winter scene, it is from this province. The scene is actually from Williamson County, Tennessee, U.S.A. and I picked it up for depicting a river in the midst of winter. It is also a sunrise time to lift up your spirits despite the very cold view. That says a lot about living in Manitoba. One needs imagination and inspiration to survive seven months of cold season. It helps to have a job too because the days seem faster when one is immersed in work.
Now, here's the site where one can find information on how to immigrate to this province. Visit
Province of Manitoba Immigration and peruse the guide on what's needed to qualify for immigration into Manitoba. The application form is there and the directions are pretty-much fortright. Don't let bleak news on
The Winnipeg Free Press or
The Winnipeg Sun deter you into pulling out of this idea to come here. Sometimes they write down the weather too much in these publications but Winnipeg gets sunshine a lot more than Vancouver, British Columbia. And considering there's less people here than Vancouver, there's plenty of room for new immigrants looking for fresh adventure in all four seasons of this hemisphere. Like what the rubbershoes company says, "just do it!"
