First Link ![]() Thanks for visiting this site. Winnipeg City is the capital of the Province of Manitoba, Canada. It is right in the middle of the North American continent and a main hub for domestic and international flights. There is a common observation that there are seven months of winter in this area and I've proven that true in my 16 years here. You don't have to dread the cold, you just have to dress appropriately to enjoy the sights and sounds of this city, especially its multicultural feel. I would like to provide links to important websites about this city and province and I hope you would follow these links to know more about the city and its people. For now, visit The Winnipeg Free Press and read about the latest news about us. There are numerous features of this publication that are worth reading and the pictures are really amusing. Regular columnists write about a universe of topics, both local and national, and they are worth following. Bookmark this site and return to it everyday for the freshest news about this city and province. The picture on this entry is from Webshots and I would also like to invite you to visit this site. Pictures can be downloaded for personal use and everyday they have new photos for public use. This is my regular source of photos for my websites. Don't let the innocent scene of winter fool you about the temperature outside. It is freezing and this scene is common in rural Manitoba. But a lot of Winnipeggers are hikers and the weather is not an obstacle to their hobby. Next time, I'll post an entry about immigrating to Manitoba. Think if you'd like to experience this kind of weather in your life and join us here for as long as you like!
