After closing arguments and rebuttals today, Archibeques fate was turned over to the Jury this afternoon at 3:57 pm.  There's no telling how long they will be out. My guess is we will have a verdict before the weeks out.

The jury fore person will notify the Bailiff that a decision has been  reached. The Judge will then order court to reconvene. I am told Judge Wettincamp doesn't like to wait long at all for the verdict to be read and entered. This means there will be very little notice to anyone who wants to be present while the verdict is read.

As soon as the Judge notifies Mr. Shapiro that a verdict has been reached, Mr. Shapiro will call me and I in turn will call everyone on my list who has expressed interest in being there.

If you wish to be notified of the time the verdict will be read, you can send me an email `at,  [email protected] and leave me your number. I will etiher call or text you. Please put "Verdict" in the subject line. You will have a half hour to possible one and a half hours to make it to the courtroom.

I went to Santa Clara High and knew Mary alittle. It was a huge shock when it happened. I have remembered what happened to her for this long...that was how bad it was to hear anyone got hurt like that.

Thank god for the system to finally get this guy

I spent alot of time with Mary during the summer that I was 13 and she was 15. She was staying with her Dad then, and we had a few sleepovers and just general fun. She was so kind and generous to a younger girl (me) and what I want everyone to remember is that she had a beautiful singing voice - that particular summer her favorite song was "Angie, Baby" by Helen Reddy. So strange what one remembers after all these years...Mary was absolutely terrific and we were all robbed of a positive force for good by a rotten little squirt who just wanted to get his rocks off. Lost touch with Mary when she went to live with her Mom and, thus, to a new school. I was absolutely stricken when I read of her murder two years later. I was delighted (is it possible?) when I recently learned of the trial and conviction of the perpetrator -- Yay! The wheels of justice grind slow, apparently, but they grind exceedingly fine. Mary will smile...
