We have finally set our journey by boat from Bangkok to Uthai Thani on the main Chao Phraya River. The boat was made of teak wood about 60 years ago, a kind of Rice barge for big capacity loading sacks of rice transporting along the river to Bangkok. The same kind of boats had bee towed for the fleet of 6 up to 12 barges stringed along like a river friehgt train. It was great fun and see more of people and the country on both sides of the rivers. It took us 3 days to arrive Uthai Thani. Then we have done another route to Mae Nam Noi which is memmorable of being in Thailand way back to the olden days. |
