What do we do? What do we do?
After viewing Aaron Russo's movie, America: Freedom To Fascism (if you have not seen the movie, I would strongly suggest you take the time to view it along with Russo's interview), it seems to me that we indeed have a challenge in this great country of ours with most of the challenge, other than our "world view" of our creator, stemming from the current monetary system now in place.
While there are several ideas floating around of how to cure the above ailment, I recently came across the following suggestion. I cannot remember where I saw this, but it was suggested that we keep our current system of money (Federal Reserve), however, simply remove the money supply out of the hands of the private bankers (again Federal Reserve), and place it in the hands of We The People, utilizing all the interest on home loans, credit cards, etc., to fund government along with all the current social programs in place. Once this was accomplished, we could gradually eliminate, if needed, all unnecessary social programs and immediately do away with all taxes; not just the federal income tax. It was also suggested by the above source that we keep the current Federal Reserve Board in place as they have done an excellent job of making money for the private bankers if, and only if, they could be trusted to do the same for We The People. By doing so, we would have United States Notes in place of Federal Reserve Notes. Wasn't it President Kennedy that attempted to do this? Hmmm! He was assassinated. Old habits (please pardon the pun) do indeed, die hard! It seems that with all that interest, there would be plenty of money to fund our government. I think there must be plenty of interest available otherwise the Federal Reserve would not be in that business. Seems like a viable solution to me. What say you? 2007-02-02 15:18:00 GMT
