Willy teaches a Bible class at the school, and invited me to share with the students. He led worship before the teaching and then I shared with the class. We began talking about rugby, went to purity by some transition, and then to what it truly means to believe in Jesus vs. traditions or head knowledge. The class stayed engaged in the discussion and Scripture.
It was amazing to watch God work in that classroom. I heard an illustration once about a dad and his boy. They were mowing the lawn together, dad with his lawnmower and son with his toy mower. They seemed to work hard side by side, as the son followed his father’s footsteps. In reality, Dad was doing all the work and the son was walking alongside him. That’s how it felt in the classroom. I was working alongside my Father as He worked in the hearts and lives of the students. As we closed that morning, over a dozen students had accepted Jesus as their Savior and others recommitted to their relationship with Jesus. It was a wonderful time in the Lord and I felt privileged to be there.
Later that day we met with a group called Youth on Fire, a group of students who desire to work with our radio station to reach their own. According to what I learned from various staff members, the youth of Tonga are struggling and falling away.
