The drinking glasses here in Kiwi land (NZ) are really small as compared to the average US drinking glass. The normal drinking glass is about 8 oz or less. Most of the guys from the church that have been over to the house are really suprized at our "Large" drinking glasses.
Some friends of ours at Calvary Chapel El Cajon sent Susie and I some 32oz drinking mugs about a month ago. I call mine my RMC.
Last night Susie, James, and I were at the season end get-together with the University age class / 20 something group. There was a Kiwi guy there named Mike that I had not met before, in my life. As I was introduced to Mike, he sees the 32oz Mug in my hand and says, "What, are you a Texan?" That was just awesome in my opinion!
Of course most of the class already knew we are from Texas, so there was a bit of laughter. Come to find out Mike had spent some time on a short term mission trip to PNG and met a Texan there that had his own RMC. That Texan convinced Mike that everything is bigger in Texas. I am guessing Mike took it to be true.
Papau New Guinea (PNG) is a place that we at UCB Pacific Partners are actually "on air" with Christian Radio. We also hope to expand there in the next couple of years.
