Loving the sunshine!

As we enjoy our warm spring sunshine, and prepare for the warm summer .... (sorry to all you guys in Texas who are freezing right now!)  ... James really enjoys playing outside.  In the pic above, he's in our front yard.  He likes to pick the flowers and run down the small hill.  He's full of energy and curious as a cat!  I've taken to calling him Scout at times, b/c he has to check every thing (and corner and flower and tree) out.

We had lunch on Sunday with Mike, his wife (Rei) and Scott...some friends from church.  You'll remember Mike from a previous blog -- he works with Gospel for Asia (GFA).  He and Rei are expecting their first child in January -- just a few weeks before Baby Lancaster the 2nd is due to arrive.  We stuffed them all full of Mexican food (beef fajitas, homemade refried beans and spanish rice) and iced tea!  Yummy!  It's okay that Scott didn't like the iced tea (we forgive you, man!) because he ate four fajitas!  I like it when people eat my food!  Even better when there are no leftovers to put in the fridge! Other than the food and tea, we really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know them better.  Scott is planning to go to India in November for two weeks with GFA.  Please keep him in your prayers for safe (and healthy) travel.

I visited today with Susan, a woman from CCA (Calvary Chapel Auckland).  She and her husband moved to New Zealand from South Africa about five years ago.  SHe has a 10 month old son named James (Daniel)!  It was really nice to get to meet her, and get to know her.  I'm looking forward to a friendship with another mom in the area!  Also, tomorrow, I'll be joining some women at a play group.

We love you guys and miss you!  May our Lord watch over you and keep you while we are apart!

Susie,
What do you mean freezing? Valerie came over and sat and pulled weeds with me in the yard today. It was 82F! I'm still sweaty!
I do wish James was exploring every corner, flower, and tree in my yard, though. :)
