Hi, everyone!
We are doing well, keeping busy with work, ministry and two children! Katie Mae is two months old now -- time sure has passed quickly! She's got a beautiful smile, likes to talk already and is constantly kicking her legs and waving her arms around while she's awake. I fear that James will have his hands full when she becomes mobile and starts to follow him around!
James is doing good as well. He has started saying lots more words, and babbles all the time now. He babbles at me and then looks at me waiting for my response. He gets quite frustrated when he doesn't have the words to express what he wants. He is also learning to sort his Mega Blocks and Duplo's into color groups, and even says 'blue.' He loves to read his many books ... all day long ... He takes a book to bed with him at naptime and I can often hear him 'reading' to himself before he falls asleep. I'm glad he enjoys reading!
Jim and I are doing well ... learning how to manage couple time around family time, and where to fit in ministry opps. The Lord has been stretching me in the area of hospitality. I had come across a book by Karen Mains ("Open Heart, Open Home") which really challenged my definition of hospitality, as well as my use of it! So, we've decided on two nights a month that will be our hospitality nights -- a way of getting to know people as well as seeking to bless and encourage them. I'll let you know how it goes! I'm kind of shy sometimes...so it's a stretch for me to invite others over.
We love you guys and miss you much!
Susie, Jim, James and Katie Mae
