The Methodist Rural Public Health Program, Mursan is situated in Uttar Pradesh, which is in the North of India.  Mursan is a town where approximately 15.000 people are living, and where most of the people are haveing some work in connection with farming etc.

MRPHP is  a project with a lot of smaller components, and the main work these days has some connection with HIV/AIDS to do.  Daily  when patients are visiting the clinics they will be counselled on HIV/AIDS, and a lot of pre-test couseling and pretesting is done.  Also a lot of awreness camps is arranged in the field, so people get the opportunity to get themselves tested for HIV.

Beside the main clinic in Mursan we have two smaller clinics also, one in Beswan, about 10 KM away from Mursan, and one in Karhari, about 50 KM away from Mursan.  In both these clinics we have staff on 24 hours duty, ready to take deliveries and other emergencies.

In Mursan a Day Care Center is a a very active place, and a Nurse Aid & Child Health Training programme is also perfomed.

We will show you all the different programmes.  Please visit our web site from time to time, visit our guest book also, and give your comments.
