Have you ever used a USB device.
A rheotoric question indeed, but the real question is do you know how fast your usb is?
There are 3 version of USB devices (2 out in real world and 1 in experimental stage) first one having made its debut in 1996.
The speeds are
Up to 12Mbit/s (USB 1.0)
Up to 480 Mbit/s (USB 2.0)
Up to 4.8Gbit/s (USB 3.0)
The USB 3.0 specification will be released by Intel and its partners in mid 2008 according to early reports from CNET news. According to Intel, bus speeds will be 10 times faster than USB 2.0 due to the inclusion of a fiber optic link that works with traditional copper connectors. Products using the 3.0 specification are likely to arrive in 2009 or 2010.
I can't wait till i get my hands on my USB 3.0 flash drive so that i can copy the latest bollywood movie in HD format, whoa the future is rosy the future is fast.
