How to fold a dogi ( training suit)
Take pride in your dogi. Wear it with pride and fold it with care and attention.One is the obvious cleaning of the dogi. The other is that washing a heavy canvass dogi takes quite some effort as the heavy material is difficult to rinse and wring dry, therefore the act of washing the dogi may be regarded as part of the physical training of karate-do.
Tying the obi
Wrap oncearound body.
The left lapelalways goes on the outside. Hold the beltwith the centre at the hara.
The knot is tied aroundboth lengths of the belt,not just one.
Tie an even reef knot so that the ends of the belt fall neatly and evenly,not one up and one down.
