"I think I'm gonna be sick," Brendan moaned as Amitath spiraled down towards Ryslen's weyrbowl.

"Diva, don't be such a wimp!" Tasha scolded, leaning over as far as she could and causing the dragonrider to put a worried arm around her. "Enjoy the view!"

Dylan was looking a bit queasy as she peered cautiously down at the view. "I think you'd be better if you borrowd a cup of wimp."

"Would you all PLEASE be quiet?" J'rin begged. "Faranth, do you people ever shut up?"

"Are you kidding?" Aaron scoffed. "They're paid to talk!"

J'rin shook his head and urged Amitath into a sharper descent. Bianca gave a yelp as Amitath went into a shallow dive and landed perfectly in the center of a large crater. J'rin jumped down into the dusty bowl.

"Welcome to Ryslen Weyr," he told them, indicating the crater with a grand gesture.

Aaron sighed. "You guys don't have theatre here, do you?"

"What?"

"Thought so."

"J'rin!" a cheerful looking middle-aged woman bounded up to them. "You've sure got a full load on poor Amitath today. Where're these ones from?"

"A very very tiny building on Earth Amitath accidently ended up in," J'rin replied. "They're... actors?"

The woman looked them over. "Well, they look acceptable, and I'm sure if Amitath likes them they'll make great Candidates."

"Um, excuse me, but would someone like to explain to me what the hell you're talking about doing to my actors?" Aaron demanded, stepping forward a bit.

The woman extended her hand. "Merry meet, I'm Headwoman Ikara, and you are?"

"Aaron Resito, proffesional actor and director, nice to meet you," Aaron replied. "About my actors?"

"Oh," Ikara waved her hand as if she'd explained the entire things a million times before, which she probably had, "We have a huge group of eggs on the Sands, eggs that will hatch into dragons like Amitath here, and we'd like you seven to stand and maybe become a rider like J'rin."

"I don't know how it works here, but on Earth seven people can't just dissapear," Aaron protested.

"You're already assumed dead from the collapse of that building," J'rin replied. "Unless you go back, everyone will believe it."

Aaron turned towards the actors. "Well, I guess it comes down to where we'd like to live. It's your choice."

"To be or not to be," Dylan drawled.

Brendan, this whole time, had had his eye on a man dismounting from a green dragon. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I see everything I need here."

"I'm sure you could find that anywhere," Dylan told him.

The rider had noticed Brendan too, and now strutted up and casually slapped his butt. "Very good find, J'rin," he told the rider, eyes on Brendan even as he talked to J'rin.

"Brendan," Brendan introduced himself.

"S'rei, rider of green Tieath," the rider replied. "You know, I always like to welcome the new candidates to Ryslen."

Brendan smiled. "Got a room?"

S'rei grabbed him by the shirt and started walking. "A nice big one."

Brendan didn't need any more encouragement and the two dissapeared into one of the hallways.

"I think we're staying," Aaron told Ikara with a chuckle. "Brendan's already making himself at home."
