Myekoth watched disdainfully from her spot on the sand as her brother splashed around in Falas' weyrlake. You call that a bath? she scoffed, looking down the end of her long muzzle at him.

The little white sat up and shook the remaining water off his hide. Yeah, what do you call it? he asked, looking up at his sister.

I call it... Myekoth faltered, I call it... Well whatever it is, it's certainly not a bath, that's for sure.

Nakamurath gave a snort of disbelief. Well it's enough of a bath for me. Your just jealous!

Myekoth turned her nose up and pretended not to hear her brother, who replied by flapping his wings furiously, drenching his sister and making sand cling to her newly oiled hide.

Why you! Myekoth hissed and launched herself into the water after Nakamurath. She was so intent on capturing the little white that she didn't even notice that her hide was getting even more white as she swam.

Can't catch mee! Nakamurath taunted as he skimmed through the water effortlessly, using his wings to propel himself forward.

Nakamurath! Watch out! Myekoth called, seeing a brown leg loom up in front of her brother, who was showing off by doing a roll.

Like I'm going to believe you, Nakamurath scoffed. There was a yelp of suprise from Nakamurath and a bellow of annoyance from the brown as Nakamurath rolled right into the brown's leg.

Myekoth, not wanting to be there when Nakamurath - as usual - was found at the bottom of this, swam for shore. She quickly shook herself and set off at top speed to where her rider and Nakamurath's were seated. As she neared them, however, she slowed down. They were doing something very odd... It couldn't be good for them to be biting eachother, Myekoth concluded after a few moments of observation, and jabbed Nakamurath's rider sharply in the back. Stop biting my rider!

B'naret looked annoyed and Lirris was shaking with silent laughter. Myekoth was only more confused. Why do you bite eachother?

Lirris just chuckled and shook her head. You're understand when you're older, love. Don't worry about it now.

Myekoth gave both riders a suspicious look. Until then, no more biting, alright?

Lirris nodded solemnly. Of course not, Myekoth. No more biting.

"I guess the weyrlingmaster wasn't kidding when he said they wouldn't take it too well," B'naret chuckled. "She really thought I was biting you?"

Lirris nodded and grinned. "Well what else would she think it was? But you heard her, no more biting until she understands it!"

B'naret groaned and tried to steal a kiss, frowning when Lirris moved away teasingly. "Not even just a little bite?"

Lirris shook her head. "Nope. Not until they're both senior weyrlings or adults and understand this sort of thing."

"I don't think I like this no biting thing," B'naret sighed. "Tell me, can I still hug you?"

Lirris chuckled and moved closer to him. "Until Myekoth says it's not ok."

Nakamurath shook his head. They are pretty weird, he agreed with his sister as they watched their riders. Think all riders are like that?

Probably just ours.
