QURANIC YOUTH CLUB





Quranic Youth club in brief
Quranic Youth Club abbreviated
QYC was established in the year 2000. Officially launched on the 11th of April
of the same year, QYC is one of the Da'wah-and-Tarbiyyah-based club where
its members work as a group in making themselves and bringing back the society
to the life according to the Quran and Sunnah.
Its very first program which
started one semester earlier before its official launching is known as Kuliah
Tafsir Fi Dzilalil Quran . It was initially co-organised with the Mahallah
Asma' and Mahallah Siddiq Representatives Council alongside with the Pergerakan
Puteri Islam. This very first program is still actively conducted till today
by the current members of the Quranic Youth Club and remains as the trademark
program for this club.
Apart from conducting activities
solely for its members, QYC too collaborate with other clubs and functional
bodies of IIUM including the Students' Representative Council, Curruculum and
Activity Center (CCAC), Friends of Al-Aqsa and many others to conduct
student-based programs and activities in this university itself.
To date members of QYC amounts
to ..... consisting of students from variety of courses; IRK to Engineering and
Economics to Architecture. QYC is inviting more of the students to be part of
members regardless of background and nationality and therefore opens its door
for registration any time of the year. The Quranic Youth Club is looking forward
to unite the Muslims through its society-based movement under the banner of the
followers of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who are presented with the
Quran.

Quranic Youth Club : Objectives and Mission
Statement
Objectives:

To propagate, strengthen and
consolidate the Quranic theme of brotherhood among IIUM students- local and
international.

To provide students the opportunities to learn and explore the ultimate meanings
and teachings of the holy Quran.

To disseminate comprehensive Quranic thoughts and principles to the IIUM
community or unity and solidarity based on tolerance and proper understanding of
the Quran.

To encourage Islamic intellectual discussions collectively through training and
educating the Quranic way.

To enhance the usage of mosque among the students as the Quranic center of the
university.

To implement the Quranic preaching of instilling good moral codes and
maintaining proper conducts in the university.
Mission
Statement:
The main agenda of the Quranic
Youth Club is to be the prime-movers of the ummah who are not only imbued
with the noble Quran-based personality, character and behavior but are
also well equipped with the necessary Islamic thoughts and know ledges, and to
be committed to the works of Islam possessing practical management and
leadership skills to reclaim the tradition of the previous Quranic generation.

club. The mission of QYC is to produce Islamic youth committed to the works of
bringing back Islam to the community. The objective of QYC is to bring Islam as
the complete and only applicable system of life. This can only be done by
practicing Islam accordance to the manhaj of the QURAN & SUNNAH. Hence, the role
of every MUSLIM is not only to read and to memorize the QURAN and the HADITH but
most important is to understand and to apply them in our everyday life."
