Choir introduction

Founded in January 1995, the “Quo Vadis” mixed voice choir is comprised of 20 members between the ages of 14 and 30, with a common attraction to music and a love for singing. We are also a very friendly and relaxed choir, enjoying not only the singing but socializing, too. We spend many hours together, thereby allowing for work and play, conversation, and debate. From this community of singers come friendships that will continue to grow and be lifelong friendships. Although some of the members left, new singers joined the choir, but the core of the choir has remained the same, guaranteeing serious work and quality singing. Singing in the choir is a memorable experience that leaves an indelible mark on the life of each singer. Music unites us and leads the way.

We unite singing with instrumental accompaniment and we love enriching our work with new ideas. The repertoire includes works of Slovene and foreign composers; beside Slovene folk songs that play an important role in the choir’s programs, we enjoy singing spirituals as well as modern compositions. We perform concerts all over Slovenia and from time to time we tour also abroad; in 1999 the choir was on tour in Rome and the Vatican and in 2001  we toured in Slovakia at the invitation of the Slovak composers’ Association.

The conductor of the choir is Mrs. Nastja Belcer Premrl.
