The grass is growing longer
And my patience growing thinner.
I promised myself I'd be
Done with this by dinner.
But I can't figure out
How to start this thing.
I've choked it, primed it, filled it with gas
And done pretty much everything.
God's laughing at me...
And he has every right to in reality.
I know it can't be this complicated,
But I know I really hate it!!

I checked the oil, and that was fine,
And I pulled the rip cord a thousand times.

This was over before it began.
I'm sure I'm making this harder than it is.
I guess I'm just a yard care novice.

Before I'd hang out with Cooper.
I'm sure the answer's in front of me,
But I can't get it to run,
And so I'm stuck here, in the backyard
Missing all the fun.

Buy a pair of scissors,
Cut the grass by hand.
You'll learn to love it,
So just quit your band.
Cut all the grass blades
One by one.
Who knew a mundane task
Could be this fun?
