I was sitting on my ass the other day,
Just flippin' the channels to pass the time away.
That's when I first saw it.
The verb commercial.
A bunch of kids that were made of words
Were running and jumping and doing other verbs.
I didn't understand
The verb commercial.
"Verb! It's what you do."
Yeah, that much I already knew
But I didn't understand what it was
Advertising.
If it was actually trying to sell me words
Then why in God's name did they stop with verbs?
Personally I think that nouns are much better
Than verbs.
So it turns out the next Saturday
I was at Cooper's house for the night to stay.
That's when I saw it again,
The verb commercial.
A bunch of kids were skating this time
A webpage on the commercial helped me find
What it was all about,
The verb commercial.
"Verb! It's what you do."
Yeah, that much I already knew
But I didn't understand what it was
Advertising.
If it was actually trying to sell me words
Then why in God's name did they stop with verbs?
Personally I like adjectives much more
Than verbs.
