7 Reasons To Go Jogging Even When You Are Busy

cover

Some find it tedious, laborious, and boring.

Not to mention the constant discussion that erupts when a friend or neighbor sees you in action.

“I’m not a jogger, I find it too _________.”

“Hey, we should go together sometime”

All those questions you don’t need because none of them are the reason you are doing it.

These should be the reasons why you are doing it.

When you go jogging, the world passes you by at the speed you move.

With that control of speed, there is ONE emerging factor that immediately becomes clear – you are in your own fortress of solitude.

It’s just you and your thoughts, the pace you are moving at, and the direction you are moving in.

All you focus on is your breathing, the sound of your feet hitting the pavement, and the progress of your pace.

With that solitude comes the immediate clearing of one’s head as your focus turns elsewhere (not tripping over your feet, avoiding puddles, etc.).

The problems of the day start to drift away into the background.

For now, your concerns have shifted from the chair you were sitting on and the computer you were typing on to what you are physically doing.

When I haven’t jogged in a while, I’ll regret it immediately when I pick it up again.

Afterward, my legs will hurt a little more than usual.

But when I’m in a simple cycle of doing the same route twice a week, I feel invigorated, refreshed, and ready to tackle the challenges that lay before me.

All the tension in my body has been released.

I can now sit back down with a new set of eyes to examine the current problem.

I mentioned solitude when you go jogging.

That appeals to me more than I enjoy running in a group, and sometimes motivating the whole team to go together.

But generally, I feel confused when doing so because I cannot properly adjust my speed to where the team is going.

However, with all of that said, there is a small part of me that is selalu jealous of running buddies or groups that are running together, as it can be an incredible bonding experience between you and other orang.

I have done races (Spartan Race) with a team of orang, that was quite fun.

It’s different from a pure jog, but still as a team.

The goal here is to recognize that you can further the bonds with your team through jogging.

The beratest part is selalu the beginning.

We say we will do it in the morning, but we wake up tired, and we don’t.

I found that the best technique is to put all my gear – shoes, shorts, shirt, socks – together the night before by my bed.

When I wake up, I’ll see it all there and know it’s all on me to take the next step.

All barriers to looking for clothes, getting out of bed, or finding my shoes, have been removed.

Now, it is simply up to me – to show up.

Jogging is the most inexpensive form of activity on our planet.

All you need are a pair of shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt.

You don’t need the $200 marathon runners, $100 Dri-Fit lined shorts or the $60 cooling t-shirt.

All you need is any pair of shoes, any pair of shorts, and any kind of t-shirt to get started.

You don’t need to get a gym membership, either.

If you’re worried about where you are heading, try mapping out a trail.

I’m not going to go into all the science behind exercise and chemicals in your brain released when you go jogging.

But at the end of every jog, there is that moment when you stop running.

You’re walking back to your house, thinking at what you have accomplished in that period of time.

You smile and say – “Not bad, maybe I’ll do better tomorrow” – and that’s it.

Through that ONE act that maybe took 25 minutes, you’ve raised your emotional well-being to a level where you are proud and confident of dirimu.

It doesn’t matter if you go 1 or 5 miles.

What does matter is that you did it and that you keep doing it.

If you can find the time during the day, fantastic.

Jogging is a great way to combat the afternoon blahs.

If the morning is more your style to start the day, put on a sweater and make it happen.

If the evening is when you like to wave a quick hello to your neighbors as you pass them by, own it and make it yours.
