 Debate Competition Topic : Smartphones are harmful for school children.

वादविवाद प्रतियोगिता का विषय : स्मार्टफोन स्कूल के बच्चों के लिए हानिकारक हैं.

Rules same as quiz competition.

Time limit is 3 minutes per speaker.

Language : Hindi and English.

 

 Essay Competition topic : Dealing with cancer in India.

निबंध प्रतियोगिता विषय : भारत में कैंसर को कैसे संबोधित करना चाहिए.

Word limit : 2000 words.

Must be in Microsoft Word, 12-point Calibri or Times Roman font.

Must be submitted through email before 14th April, 2020.

Winners will be announced on 21st April 2020 during quiz and debate competitions. Only those present at the venue will receive the prize. In case the winner is absent, the prize will go to the student next in line.

All references from where the material for the essay is taken, must be included in a 'References' section at the end of the essay.

Language : Hindi and English.

 Rules:

  • Each team should have 2 students. Students who have given 10th exams are also eligible.
  • On-the-spot registrations will be taken only if there are spots left.
  • Send the names of the teams alongwith the school name, mobile number (of the students in the team), their class (standard), age and address to the email given below.
  • Only team entries are allowed. Single-student entries are not allowed.
  • The participants will not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic gadgets during the
    quiz.
  • The questions shall be in the form of multiple choices, true/false statement, specific one word answer etc.
  • The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subject to any change.
  • There is no dress code for the competition.
  • The students should bring sufficient food and water with them for one day.
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes will be given to the winning teams.
  • Question rounds will comprise multiple-teams-one-question, rapid-fire, buzzer, audio-visual etc.
  • The rounds will be preliminary, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
  • Students should bring their school id to the venue.
  • There is no entry fee for students with school id. There is no registration fee.
  • Depending upon the preference of the individual team members, the question will be asked to them in either English or Hindi according to their choice of language.
  • There is no limit on the number of teams from any school.
  • If one student in the team is from class 5, the other can be from class 9.
  • Audience entry is free. Teachers and parents can accompany their kids to the venue.
  • Audience members will not give any hints to the participants.
  • Students need not bring any letter from the school.
