| We have experienced a tragedy of which most of us in this Nation, never thought possible. The tears that were shed, could have put out the flames that raged that day. It is all just a memory now, but an excruciating one. We shall never forget September 11, 2001 and those that paid the price for such hatred. | As the New York skyline has changed, so did we. We are stronger, more united, more caring of our neighbors and strangers. We must continue to stand tall, stand proud, and stand UNITED, but defiant to the enemy. We must support our Commander in Chief and our military. These are the people who are putting this country and all who belong to her, first in their lives so that we may continue to live ours in the freedom that she was built on. Hatred is our enemy. It does not come in any color, any race, or any religion, for hatred has none of these values. Hatred has no place in this country. We don't need to always agree, but we must learn to understand opposing views. To understand, we need to educate. It is what we don't know or understand that breeds fear, then manifests itself into hate. The kind of hate that we witnessed on September 11, 2001. |
