Arriving at the hospital

Ready to go!

Filling time during the 3-hour delay due to an emergency surgery. While we were waiting, one of the nurses
came in to talk to him. She asked where
he got such LONG eyelashes and he promptly replied, “At the store!” When pressed as to which store, he told her
that he got them at Wal-Mart! So
cute! Later, another nurse came in and commented
on his BIG muscles after he told her how strong he was. We asked him where he got the big muscles
and he told her that he got those at Wal-Mart, too! What a funny guy, especially considering that we’re primarily
Target shoppers here! LOL

Getting ready to go to the operating room

Arriving in the OR

First pic in the ICU (side note: We met Keegan at the elevator to go up to
the ICU and that was the first time seeing him since the surgery. I told him
that I loved him and he replied. I thought he was talking nonsense and couldn't
figure out what he was saying. The nurses and everyone guessed and he was
getting mad. I finally figured it out... "I love you to infinity and
beyond!" This is a game we play where the first person to say they love
the other to infinity and beyond wins. I told Keegan he won and then lost all
the composure I had maintained so well until that point!)

The bandage

He said his head was cold. This is the hat Aunt Susan won for him playing
golf at the Pepsi display in the hospital courtyard.

Keegan wants Mommy to hold him

Amazingly happy about 20 hours after the surgery!

Holding his head up on his own for the first time during a visit from Pastor
Tom. Note we are in a regular room now!

Going for a "ride" at his request! Just 25 hours after the
surgery!!!

Playing with the toys Pastor Tom brought from our church family!

The incision

His reaction at being told he could go home Sunday if he moved his neck a
bit more!

Happy to see Grandma!

In the playroom with Daddy - less than 48 hours after surgery!

In the playroom with John!

Worn out from all the playing!

Playing with the Play-Doh from Miss Elizabeth, Julie, and Elise. Waiting
to be discharged!
