Almost a year on since I first started, the new remake of Elite is now
available! It is still probably
beta software - i.e. you may
find some gameplay effecting problems - but is fully playable.
This new version,
Elite AGB, is based on BBC Elite A and
contains different player controlled ships, an online encyclopedia and
special cargo. More details can be found on the
Elite AGB page.

2 minor Elite fixes - enemy lasers were not drawn correctly and the "ship dots" were drawn
too close.

At last - a fix for the current Elite TNK GBA port. Well, a back-track
to the working version plus some post version 1.4 bug fixes. I'm doing
this as it looks like the new version will be a few weeks longer before
it's up and running.
A big thanks must go to Thomas Metz for giving me a kick to get this
done. Thomas has fixed some bugs and niggles based on the 1.4a release,
which I've added to this latest version. Amongst other things, he's
made it easier to become Elite ;-) and added a "rating gauge" so you
can see how far you have got left to go, as well as making some
visibility enhancements. Full details are in the readme.

I'm slowly trying to move my projects over to use
DevkitARM, which is a more recent version of the GNU compiler targetted for the GBA.
The first changed over was PocketBeeb, the latest is Lords Of Midnight.
I've also added the sun to LoM, as seen in the Commodore 64 version.

I'm still working on the fixes to Elite - more than fixes it is in fact
a remake of a different version of Elite, which doesn't use any of the
TNK code and plays closer still to the Beeb version! All that poring
over 6502 code during the making of PocketBeeb came in handy. It has
some nice extras that were in the original version, but I don't want to give
too much away until it's closer to being finished. It's getting
there... Just don't tell David Braben, OK? ;)

Added the PocketBeeb source and TWO new versions. A proper update with
sound improvements and a hacky update that runs Elite almost properly. Ish.
See the emulation link there on the left.

Another site reshuffle and this one is easier to maintain. Quite what
heinous crimes against navigation Yahoo's dodgy ad-popup will commit
this time is anyone's guess - its new trick being to add a needless
horizontal scrollbar to every page - but there's no such thing as a
good, free web host so we're stuck with it.

A major bug has been discovered in the port of Elite, making docking
extremely difficult. I've replaced the download with v1.4a, which was the
last version I had before the bug appeared and seems to work better.
I'm currently working on a new version that shall fix the problem
and add some other stuff too. Sorry for the cock up, folks.
