
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Cream shortening and both sugars. Beat in eggs till light and fluffy, add water
and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and salt, add to creamed mixture. Add oats , chips
and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 °F for 12
to 15 min.
