| i got a good experience today! In the evening, i had to go to my uncle's home in Chai Wan to have dinner. On my way to my uncle's, mum phoned me, asking me to help her take the bags of food bought in the supermarket in Tai Koo. After we met, we went into the supermarket and chose what we needed. After that, we went to the cashier and lined up. . Suddenly, a man about 40 came near me and asked me politely in Putonghua, "Excuse me. Is this the end of the line?". i was shocked but then i responded to him calmly in Putonghua, "yes." In fact, his appearence impressed me so that i was willing to talk to him. From what i see in my first sight, he's sedate, polite, and honest, unlike those i saw before. My gf said he may probably be from the rich family and i thought so. "Wow, it's so crowded! How come?" He murmured. "Yes, it's the peak hour. After a day of work, people buy food and other things to make dinners. Therefore, it's very crowded." I said. Meanwhile, he seemed to be nervous ,asking me if i could do him a favour. i nodded. " i want to buy one more item. May you wait for me?" He asked. i nodded but was anxious because my mum was away and she didn't know it. She may thought that the man was a bad guy. Later, she came back and i told her about that. Surprisingly, she said nothing but OK!!! But another thing that raise my anxiety was that i was close to the cashier and after one more buyer, we have to pay for the bill. That means, i cannot help him to hold his place. Fortunately, he came back in time. i knew he was in hurry, so did my mum. Therefore, i said in Putonghua, "you pay the bill first since we have lots of things and it may take you much time. At first, he's quite embarrased but after i urged him again and again with enthusiasm. He went in front of us and said thank you to us honestly. the experience is very exciting because i can use what i've learned. Actually, it's my first time talking to someone i don't know in Putonghua. Furthermore, he's a mainlander who i used to hate. Without doubt, the experience more or less changes my concept about mainlanders. |

| i saved an elderly today! HAHA. After having dinner at my grandpa's, i went home alone. Usually, i would take the MTR, instead of the bus. Although taking the bus is the fastest way to home, i seldom take it. i'll get sick because of the bad smell in the bus. haha.....i'm so weak... having gone into the train, i got a seat and took a rest. After several stations, i saw an old man came into the train. Since there's no seats around him, he had to walk further to look for a seat. But when he came near me, the train started to take off. He, then, almost fell down. Luckily, in an instant, i held him tight and i knew that everyone's looking at me........( turning red) After that, i let him sit on my seat, and i found a corner to stand. i'm quite happy, not becase of the vanity, but that i've saved an elderly. If i didn't take action in time, he may probably get hurt and need to go to hospital. i hope he will be alright..... |
