The recent most common topic among hongkongers, with no doubt, is SARS. Obviously, it is an serious disease we've ever had in Hong Kong since the outbreak of cholera. The tragedy has taken away over hundred people's lives. The grief for the deaths spreads over Asia in which the disaster was broken out. Here, I must mourn the departed "White Angels" who were so brave that they fought against the disease and unfortunately some of them died for us. Their bravery and unflinching spirit should be highly appreciated. At the same time, i'm here to blame those who keep away form the people who are from SARS's countries and cities.
The very first to blame should be our so-called beloved motherland, China. The actions they took and the things they said totally provoked me. I remember one of our beloved officials stated that the origin of SARS should be Hong Kong where the people who suffered from SARS came to GUANGZHOU. As a result, their people were then ill. After listening to his speaking, i blazed up and began to shout with bad language. I'm not sure where the origin is, but it's surely not the time to put the entire blame on us. How unfair it is. You know, the speaking would broadcast throughout the world. How the outsiders think once they know it. Hong Kong's economy would get worst at once because no one like to visit a dangerous city. Some of them even blamed Hong Kong's mass media's openness in passing too many local information about SARS to outside so that no one would like to visit Hong Kong. Here, i also have to rectify his mistake which is a seriously wrong concept about our behavior. At the moment, only if we tell others about the cases in Hong Kong, could we help each other and make valid method to cure and to prevent people from SARS through cooperation. What the official said is some kind of foolish and selfish behavior which shouldn't be followed. Even worse, they put barriers to hongkongers who visited their provinces. After the hand-over in 1997, we were glad to be a part of China again. With pity, i have to say we are discriminated by mainlanders. Not only our dearest companion takes us as monster, but the people in Tai Wan as well. Bemoaning their chickening out , i also feel shame on them. In this tragedy, discrimination still happened among Chinese. I dare not to say all the hongkongers do not discirminate others. However, fortunately, most of us work together and help each other so as to protect our people and to rebuild a clean city and reputation among foreign countries. I'm really so proud of being a HONGKONGER.
For the sake of God, I shall try to forgive these barbarians. |
