| Yemen is an independent country on the southern edge of the Arabian Peninsula. It extends from the mouth of the Red Sea eastward along the Indian Ocean to the boundary of Oman. Most of Yemen is hot and dry. There are only few fertile areas where the land can be farmed. Sanaa is the capital of Yemen. |
