| Solomon Islands is located in the Southwest Pacific east of Papua New Guinea. The most important islands of the Solomon chain are Guadalcanal, Malaitia, New Georgia, Florida, Vella Lavella, Choiseul, Rendova, San Cristobal, the Lord Howe group, the Santa Cruz islands, and the Duff group. Copra is the only important cash crop but it is hoped that timber will become an economic factor. Honiara is the capital city of The Solomon Islands. |
