| Niger, is a thinly populated country in western Africa. It sprawls over an area greater than the combined areas of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. Much of Niger is desert or semi-desert. Most persons in the north are nomads who move from place to place in search of water and pasture for their livestock. Niamey is the capital of Niger. |
