| Guinea is an independent country that lies on the western "bulge" of Africa that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. Guinea is a little smaller than Oregon, but it has about twice as many people as that state. Guinea is a beautiful country. From the mangrove swamps along the coast, the land rises to a scenic tableland with rivers, deep valleys, and waterfalls. Conakry is its capital. |
