| Costa Rica is a small, mountainous country in Central America. It ranks fifth among the six Central American republics in both area and population. Costa Rica is bordered by Nicaragua on the north, the Caribbean Sea and Panama on the east, and the Pacific Ocean on the south and west. A few of the highest peaks are active volcanoes. Tropical forests grow on the coastal lowlands. San Jose is the capital & largest city of Costa Rica. |
