| Bulgaria is a mountainous country in the Balkan Peninsula of southeastern Europe. Bulgaria had a poorly developed economy when World War II ended in 1945, Bulgaria's economy was based largely on agriculture. Since then, the government has taken steps to increase industry, and a better balance between agriculture and industrial activities has been achieved. Sofia is the capital city. |
