AN INVITATION

   We would like to personally invite you to try the game of Lawn Bowls. Telephone, or call in at Harlequin/Berea Park Bowling Club and enquire how you can try the game of bowls. We have coaching sessions and will answer all your questions regarding the game, organise the loan of a set of bowls and arrange for YOU to be taken out onto the green. The only criteria, is that you wear flat soled shoes so as not to damage the playing surface. You will be guided on how to place the mat at the beginning of play, how to hold the bowl or kitty in your hand, how to stand on the mat, and how to deliver the bowl along the selected grass line. All these aspects are important in learning a smooth and consistent delivery, one that will allow you to develop in the game of bowls. Further practice may be arranged, and you will be invited to join the club if you so desire.
