Well Baby Visit - Date: January 11, 2000 - 2 Weeks Old |

My doctor checked me out today. The jaundice I had when I left the hospital is all gone. Mommy was worried about me getting enough milk, but I'm growing and getting strong - so no problems there! Doctor Wynn said he's seen a lot of cute babies, but I'm one of the cutest - and so alert too! Here are my stats:
Weight: 7 lbs 10 oz, (50%) Height: 19 1/2 in, (50%) Head Circumference: 36.2 cm (90%)
My latest feats: I can hold my head up briefly and I've mastered breastfeeding! My umbilical cord stump fell off at exactly 2 weeks. |

Well Baby Visit - Date: March 13, 2000 - 2 Months & 2 Weeks Old |

In for another check up today. Dr. Wynn was so impressed with my big smiles and good nature. He gave me more compliments on being such a cutie! Everything checked out really well, but I still had to get my first shots. Mommy and Daddy held me while the nurse gave me 3 shots, 2 in one leg and one in the other. I cried for about 3 minutes - but Mom and Dad said it seemed *much* longer! I'm growing so much. Here are my stats:
Weight: 11 lbs 6 oz, (50%) Height: 23 1/2 in, (75%) Head Circumference: 39.5 cm (75%)
My latest feats: I rolled over from back to stomach with a bit of help. I've been giving mommy and daddy real smiles since I was 1 month old! I've found my hands and love to taste them! I had my first airplane ride February 12 to meet my family in Louisiana. |

I Don't Feel Well - Date: March 17, 2000 - 2 Months & 2 Weeks Old |

I weathered my shots prety well. I got a low grade fever Monday night, but it dropped off by morning. Wednesday and Thursday night I kept Mom and Dad up all night. But during the day I was my playful self. Mommy called the nurse on Friday and they had us come in. Turns out I have an ear infection! Luckily we caught it before it got too bad. I'm taking some medicine now and doing much better. |

Well Baby Visit - Date: April 27, 2000 - 4 Months Old |

We saw Dr. Wynn's partner today. He answered all of mommy's questions really well. He didn't spend as much time looking at me as Dr. Wynn usually does - but he did check all my stats. I'm growing great and looking good! I got my shots at the County Health Department since Daddy just started his new job and our insurance doesn't kick in until May. Aunt Mae came with and I did very well. Here are my stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 6 oz, (50%) Height: 24 in, (50%) Head Circumference: (50%)
My latest feats: I can grab my toys and love to get them in my mouth too! I can roll from my back to my tummy all by myself. It makes tummy time much more enjoyable when I put myself there! |

I Don't Feel Well - Date: May 6, 2000 - 4 Months Old |

I was acting kind of fussy again - like when I had an ear infection. Mommy and Daddy took me to the after hours doctor. The good news is that I don't have an ear infection, but the bad news is that I have a viral infection in my lymph nodes. The doctor gave me some children's Advil, but the virus just had to run it's course. After a couple of days I was back to my happy self again!

A Call to the Nurse - Date: May 11, 2000 - 4 1/2 Months Old |

Mommy called the nurse to find out about starting solids. I can hold my head really well and can sit up with support well - almost all by myself! I was eating about 10 times a day and *still* hungry. The nurse said we could start rice cereal and then start some veggies. I had my first bowl of rice cereal and boy did I love it! On my 5 month "birthday" I tried some carrots. It was kind of a strange taste at first, but I think I'm starting to like them. Best of all, I'm growing big and strong! |

Well Baby Visit - Date: June 28, 2000 - 6 Months Old |

Dr. Wynn was so impressed with me. I'm doing so much and still such a smiley & happy baby. He checked my mouth - but no teeth creeping up yet. He gave us the ok to start on fruits and fruit juices - I can't wait to try them! He still tells mommy that I'm one of the cutest babies he's seen - and swears he doesn't just say that to everybody. I already knew I was a cutie! Here are my stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 12 oz, (30%) Height: 26 in, (50%) Head Circumference: (70%)
My latest feats: I've found my feet and love to play with and talk to them! I had my first swim in the pool while visiting in Louisiana. I'm mostly sitting up all by myself! I can sit unsupported for long periods of time before I get too tired and topple over! I'm getting ready to crawl, too! I get up on my hands and knees and rock back and forth before I take one big lunge forward. I also manage to scoot around on my tummy enough to turn in circles to play with all my toys. |
