Welcome ta' da Quinlan Street Lodgin' House, my home, sweet home. *spitshake* Da' names Harlaquinne an' I'll show ya' 'round if ya' want me ta'. We's just gettin' dis place stahted, so dere's plenty o' room if youse wanna join. |
Foist of all, I'll 'splain da' technicalities ta' ya'. See, I don' run da' joint, dats Quimby's job. 'E's got some real long proper name, like Ignacious 'Amilton Quimby da thoid, but we'se jist call 'im Quimby. 'E keeps us in line an' makes shoir t'ings git done, like da' cleanin' an' da' cookin. Basically, ya' give him your nickel a night an' do your chores, an' you'll stay on 'is good side. 'E's right dere in da' office if ya' want ta meet 'im. |
Now, let me intaduce ya' to da' gang. Most o' da times, dey're out selling deir papes, up in da' bunkroom, or in da' "parlor" as Quimby calls it, playin' poker. An da' only reason its called a parlor is cause Quimby likes ta' make dis place sound civilized and proper.*muffled laughter* But, aftah last night's pokah game, I don' t'ink anybody's got anythin' left ta' play wit, so dey're probably upstairs. |

The Girl's Bunkroom |
Da goils' bunkroom is on da' second floor, an' boys ain't 'llowed in 'ere aftah eleven o'clock. If Quimby catches one, 'e won't be a happy man. 'Ere, I'll intraduce ya' to da' goils. |

The Boys' Bunkroom |
Now, up 'ere on da' thoid floor is da' boys' bunkroom. Dey're all boys, ya' can't blame 'em for da' mess. Keep dat in mind when you go in ta' meet dem. |
