The setting figures the backstage of the theatre where the pure pathos performance of the 2:00 am scene will be held. Aqua Garden, an actress, is busy with her make up. During the scene she will be joined by Apple O'Hara, another female bi-figurer, and before by Léon Horizon, a male bi-figurer, having also parts in the 2:00 am scene.

EVIL KID 1, having old timer newspapers yellers' manners
Lemonade to sell, lemonade! (Evil Kid 2 arrives from the right, and circles the stage, trying to catch an imaginary butterfly with a net.) Best lemonade in town; fresh lemonade, try my lemonade. (Léon Horizon arrives on stage, also from the right. Evil Kid 2 exists left.) Lemonade! Lemonade for sell!
Léon Horizon tries unsuccessfully to kick Evil Kid 1 out of the way.
LÉON HORIZON
Come here! You little bastard! (He again tries to kick him.) Get out of here!
EVIL KID 1

LÉON HORIZON

Léon Horizon finally gets a hold on Evil Kid 1.
