SOMEHOW DISABUSED
SOMEHOW DISABUSED
Artists on a Windy Day
3:00 PM

The setting is the figurers' place. The bi-figurers are all around the place. They are looking like gargoyles statues. Jeremy enters followed by Judith.

JEREMY, looking at his watch, amused
Was that was a nice ride or what, wasn't?

JUDITH, sitting on the floor and taking off her shoes
So long for... (she throws her shoes away,) the neighbors.

JEREMY
Your Rob Zombie's inspired choreography would have made it all dressed all right, -

She moves toward the desk, sits on the floor and opens the bottom drawer.

JUDITH
Is it us?

JEREMY
What do you mean?

JUDITH
Nothing.

Judith takes out different pieces of paper from the drawer and throws them away. The crushed papers fall in the middle of the place.

                                  JEREMY, he pauses
                                  That was what it was!

                                  JUDITH
                                  Which what was was it?

                                  JEREMY
Serious spelling, that'-what was that something was.

                                  JUDITH
Couldn't get the dirtiest words on my mind...
                                  Disappointing performance...

                                  JEREMY
I've assisted to a massive spelling attack, today.

JUDITH, she goes back to what she was doing
                                  I was rusty...

                                  JEREMY
                                  They were two idiots.

                                  JUDITH
                                  Mudders.

                                  JEREMY
                                  What you're at?

                                  JUDITH
I'm looking for my stamp. (She stops her work to look at Jeremy.)
Can you believe I offered that woman to receive one?

                                  JEREMY
That would have been a shame. (He pauses.) I'll bring back the
car only after donner; are you in for a beer?

Jeremy heads for the kitchen, Judith starts again to work the drawer.

JUDITH, she pauses
Is there any wine in the cold?

JEREMY, from the kitchen
Hum... - no.

He heads out of the kitchen with a bottle of read wine in his hands.

JUDITH
You know what? It pisses me off that I didn't told her you only wanted to visit the interior for you never learnt to be impolite.

JEREMY, he pauses
I have some somehow house temperate wine?

JUDITH
Okay, I'll have a glass - put it in the cold - oh, no, wait - place it the cold, I'll have an herbal tea before - will you have some water boiled for me?

                                  JEREMY
                                  I sure will, "malove".

He heads back to the kitchen.

                                  JUDITH
Have a glass - or have your beer... as long as you have... (she finds
                                  what she was looking for
,) it... in the cold... Youhou! Victory!

The stamp is on an envelope, and the envelope is behind
                                  a framed glass.

                                  JEREMY, from the kitchen
                                  Got it?

                                  JUDITH
                                  Got it good!

JEREMY, heading out of the kitchen
                                  Are we to sit?

JUDITH, as she heads to exit the stage right
                                  We sure will, coach.

JEREMY
Tatami are on me.

Judith crosses the stage from the right, while Jeremy unrolls the tatami.

JUDITH, as she heads to exit the stage left
Give me just a second.

JEREMY, as he moves toward the radio
Do you want some music or you're in for some more "O-sole-mio"?

Judith comes back on the stage with the pair of steps.

JUDITH
I'll play it safe...

She pushes the bed, and places the pair of steps at the painting right's...

JEREMY, break dancing, raving and aiming for the state of ecstasy
Jammo 'ncoppa, jammo jà / Funicilì, funicilà / Funicili, funicul-À!... What you're at?

JUDITH
I want to place the stamp there.

                                  JEREMY
                                  What about the specialist?

JUDITH, on the pair of steps
                                  I'll have it down.

The bi-figurers slowly start to break their statue-like poses.
One female among them exists the stage, left.
.1

                                  JEREMY
                                  You're removing the specialist?

                                  JUDITH
                                  So what?

                                  JEREMY
We're talking to him, don't we?

                                  JUDITH
Will get used to talk to the stamp.

On the pair of steps, Judith moves to take down the painting.
The brass section of an orchestra is being heard. The other
bi-figurer comes back on the stage with an electric keyboard piano.

                                  JEREMY
                                  Wait - I'm coming.

JUDITH
No, have the kettle off.

As the bi-figurer with the keyboard runs her fingers up and down on it, Judith falls in the others bi-figurers arms. She escapes from them and promptly goes back on the pair of steps. She moves her body forward to have the painting down. Again, the keyboard is being heard, again she falls, and again she escapes and promptly goes back on the pair of steps. She moves her body forward as we hear the keyboard...

JEREMY
JUDDDDDDDDITHH!

She falls once again in the arms of the bi-figurers. All of them,
save the one with the keyboard, are covering her with their bodies.
Judith lies on the floor. Jeremy tries, but can't get to her. The bi-
figurer who had the keyboard has the painting down. The other bi-
figurers leave Judith's body, and form an arc around her, which
allows Jeremy to finally get to her. He takes Judith in his arms,
and moves toward the front stage, followed by the bi-figurers.
When Jeremy arrives in the middle of the proscenium, the bi-
figurers are forming an arc behind and around him. The one with
the painting is hidden behnd the other bi-figurers. Pause.
The musical part stops. We hear the kettle for a brief moment,
                                  and then...

                                  JEREMY
                                  JUDDDDDDDDITHH!

We hear a funeral march. Jeremy works his way to the back
of the stage, across the bi-figurers, still having Judith in his arms.

                                  JEREMY
                                  JUDDDDDDDDITHH!

Jeremy exists right. The hole he made went he passed "through" the line of bi-figurers, is quickly filled by the bi-figurer who has the painting. She passes it to her left (to te right), and so on, until it reaches the right-end of the arc. The bi-figurer with the painting brings it up over his/her head and steps forward. Pause. The musical part stops. The bi-figurer with the painting starts to walk around the stage followed by the others. They are all walking with their heads bended down, and moaning out loud. After their procession, they all exist left.

Toward the 3:55 PM scene

(1) It is suggested to have a female bi-figurer for this part. The feminine form was used to describe "her" acting.
