Part 2 through 5 of this scene are set in the rented car.
Silence.
JEREMY
Today's catchers are athletic just as much as the other players - that's why mister Letwich's idea has something to do with the buzz.
JUDITH
Was he as original as promised?
JEREMY
Oh, he's an original, all right. Letwich, mister Letwich... He's a retired. About... Sixty. More or less. He ws practicing in the field of amateur sports - most of his clientele was sent by private track and field coaches... So, he designed that bench for catchers. A fashionable bench. He's trying to sell the concept like if it could be added to their regular equipment; a little bit like helmets for hockey goalies.
JUDITH
And from there, really, my breast was only one strike away from his hands...
JEREMY
Not his hands. As a matter of fact, I can't deny... It needed more to be art - you know what I mean, hey? ... So, he's busy trying to convince the amateur league of putting it at test, next year...
JUDITH
Were you serious about the beauty and the beast thing?
JEREMY
The hell I was serious! I'm working hard on that thing.
JUDITH
I know you are. (She pauses.) You've been adopted by those guys. I can't say I've that much success with adoption...
Silence.
The bi-figurers this time arrive on stage already as 'executioners'. There's barely no traffic at all. They change the clock setting to 1:15.
