| "I have always been a perfectionist, I have discovered that seeking perfection holds you back from doing new things because you are afraid that they won't be "perfect". In 2000 I was determined to become a better machine quilter and that led to a job so that I could afford a new Bernina. My employer and friend, Jim Wyllie, drew a cartoon of my cat and me. I created the background from the wonky imperfect stars. we learned in class. The quilt is quilted using my prize Bernina's decorative stitches. My cat Emily, and my hair are thread painted. Emily's eyes are from a printed fabric. The messages in the picture frames say "Purrfection is Overrated" and "Done is better than Perfect" That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Diana Roberts |
