We make quilts for those that are less fortunate! We have several different ways to get the quilts to those that are in need of them! Most of our quilts go to local homeless shelters in our area! This is where many of the homeless people end up on cold nights so that they can stay warm and dry! The shelters do a great service to people who are in need and often do not have enough blankets to go around! Our quilts have become something that they have depend on to help keep everyone covered up and warm! We also go out several times a year to the streets where people in need gather and hand the quilts out to those that need them! We have recently found another great outlet for our quilts! One of the ladies in our group is married to a fire fighter! She came up with the idea to give the fire department some of our quilts so that they can offer them to people who have a house fire and are often standing out in the street on a cold night in the clothes that they had on when they ran from their burning homes! We feel that we do what we can to help those in need by giving them a lil warmth when they need it! We are always open to any suggestions on other ways our quilts can be used!
