Elves
Elves are believed to be the last of the Ancients' creations. According to
their own philosophy, they are the greatest creation, forged at the pinnacle of the
Ancients' powers. Physically they are tall, thin and agile but not very strong although
they can be sturdy under some particularly arduous conditions (such as desert
heat or glacial cold). For this reason the majority of their number tend to avoid other races. Since the Apocalypse and fall of the Ancients they have taken forests, deserts, islands and other remote locales as their own, the most famous of which is the legendary "Cears Island" in the Western Ocean. Very quickly it became apparent that the elves could make trespass remarkably unpleasant if they chose to, so for the most part they have been left to their solitude. Many who choose to ignore the wisdom of this and venture into the wider world often find their weaker bodies result in them bleeding in a ditch somewhere.
A saving grace if this were to occur is that a large number of elves seem to have the ability to suspend their bodily functions by entering a meditative state. This is most often used when taking very long journeys or in case of injury, hoping perhaps that help is nearby.
