My best friend, my mom left all her pain and suffering behind New Year's Eve to go home to Our Lord. Every firework that exploded in the sky and all the stars that were twinkling that night, were in celebration of Mom's life here on earth. Though we had only had 12 years together, we built a lifetime of memories together. This picture was taken the 26th of December (just 5 days before she passed away) and reflects the dignity and love she shared with everyone in her life. The pictures below are just a few pictorial memories.
Rudee Angel, was found by two of my grandchildren a year ago, covered in fire ants and very sick. Mom and I spent a lot of time caring for her. Mom would hold her while she slept and hand feed her, because she believed that her life was a miracle given to us care for. This picture is reflective of Rudee's love for mom.
Mom and Kman enjoying a jigsaw puzzle together, after they decided that I couldn't put the dang thing together myself. It was beautiful watching them together. Kman treated my mom as if she were his and the love was mutual!
Tiger was hoping that Mom would catch that pesky perch, it would have made a very nice lunch for him!
Mom had always wanted a portrait of her with her four children and because Scott (seated) passed away in 1986 she never thought it would be possible. But with the graphic program Paint Shop Pro, I was able to add Scott to mom's picture of my brother Gerald and my sister Wendy. She really enjoyed this 'family' portrait.
This picture was taken up at the lake this past summer with my husband and I and our grandchildren, otherwise known as BooBoo's Kids! |
