I see things now in a different light.
I know things now for how they
Really are in life.

I no longer am a child believing.
I know life can and is deceiving.

We condition ourselves to think the right way.
We convince ourselves with
Every word we say.

The truth may be deeply buried,
The burden for years carried.

Then one day our eyes are opened wide
And we're made to look at
Ourselves deep inside.

At first the pain of what we see is so great,
To reality we can not relate.

But once we face the burden's hidden so deep,
We find inner peace and restful sleep.
