I am now sitting at my own computer. I got home last night at about 9:15-about 37 hours of airports. I is nice to be back. Cartagena was alot cooler once I got to see more. We went to a bar on the walls that surround the old city. We were drinking beer, sitting on an old spanish cannon. Then we spent my last two days at playa blanca (white beach). That place was amazing. We took a boat to an island and stayed on the beach that night. This really cool german guy rents rooms and hammocks. We took two hammocks and kicked back all night. We took a boat back at about 3:30 and I got ready to go. The next morning I hit the airport at 7am. I don't recommend any layover in the Caracus international airport for awhile. The whole thing is under construction. It was a crappy place to spent 13 hours. I actually had fun during the 6 hour layover in Miami. I walked around practicing my spanish. After 36 hours, I was a 15 minute flight out of Chicago away from home. Right as we started to pull away, some lady freaked out and said that she was too scared to fly. To my surprise it only set us back a half hour. But at O'hare, it has to be something. Time to get back to real life. I am going to post some pictures in the next few days. I would like to finish with this statement; "With god as my waitress, I will never go hungry."
