One Left Standing

One left standing
With roots so deep
Even thought everything around is gone
But the memories still stand
Tall in its heart
One day its time will come
To join the ones that left
They will someday be united again
Standing as one
Like they once were

They will be rejoicing
Laughing, crying, hugging, kissing
Oh the reminiscensing
Of the good times
Of bad times
Times of joy
Times of tears
But they are together once again
Nothing else matters
The world around them doesn't exist
Their hearts are as one
Like one time before
Even though time seperated them
It will not be allowed to do it again
Their hearts will not allow
Anything to come between them again
And just to think this newly rejoined soul
Was the one left standing
