Part I
Robin found himself trapped in a large luxurious, and well furnished room. He was not tied to one of the chairs, and he was free to escape, if there had been any doors or windows from which to escape. He stood in the middle of the room, silently waiting for whatever would happen. Eventually someone would make a mistake and he could use that to his advantage. He crossed his arms and schooled the lower half of his face into non-expression.
He had infiltrated the house without a problem, it was in looking for information that he had been caught. He still wasn't exactly sure what had happened. He had found an office and was looking through the desk. He successfully picked the lock on the drawer and was rifling through the papers when he heard something at the door. Robin quickly shut the drawer and quietly slipped into the shadows. He waited for something to happen, and something did. He heard a scream, and whomever was at the door chuckled and walked away.
"I guess he remembered" was all the Boy Wonder heard as the man's footsteps faded.
Thinking that a witness was great, and even better when paired with hard evidence, he slipped out the door and followed the tall dark haired man. To his surprise the man started skipping and singing a tune. As Robin watched the man changed from a tall sinister dark man, to a slight dark little girl. Even the clothes changed, and it left Robin wondering exactly he had seen. He quickenedhis pace to keep up with the skipping little girl. He heard another scream, and the little girl laughed hysterically at the sound. He frowned in disgust and he continued to follow her.
As she approached her destination she again changed forms into a boy about his age. He then opened a door and walked in, not bothering to close it behind him.
"Well buddy? I heard that Zeke remembered what he was here for, did you remember the information I wanted?"
';Robin peeked into the room. It was sparsely furnished, but whatever couches that were there were plush and situated so that all of them would give a view of what was in the middle of the room. What was in the center of the room made Robin give an involuntary squeak of disgust. There was a man tied to what looked like scaffolding. His back was criss-crossed with bloody stripes that obviously came from the whip the man called Zeke was holding. Another thing that caught Robin's attention was that Zeke had an expression of despair on his face. It was obvious that he didn?t enjoy what he was doing. The boy Robin had followed, however, seemed to take equal enjoyment from the torture of the man, and the unease of Zeke.
"Well? I'm waiting."
The man still didn't answer. The boy motioned to Zeke and he again stepped forward unraveling the whip, an expression of pain rooted onto his features. Robin decided that he had seen enough. He took aim and let his batarang fly toward the overhead lights. It was then that things decidedly went wrong. 'As intended the batarang shattered the overhead light, plunging the room into darkness. He then propelled himself forward to deliver a powerful kick to the man/girl/boy, he had followed into the room. He felt his kick strike the figure, and he heard the figure fall to the ground with a distinct ooph.
Before Robin could attack again an incredible amount of light flared from the boy, and blinded Robin. The next thing he saw was that he was in this tastefully decorated room, waiting for the man/girl/boy to appear and, well, killing Robin was a distinct possibility, though it was likely that he would torture him first. By this point Robin was swearing in his head. Outwardly he showed no emotion whatsoever. He was especially proud of himself when he didn't flinch as a person suddenly materialized before him.
This time it was an absolutely gorgeous female that had the same coloring as the boy/man/girl. She casually brushed her cascading wavy dark hair over her shoulder and studied Robin. He in turn looked impassively at her face, using his peripheral vision to note that her arms and legs were well toned. However, he could take her, provided, of course, that she didn?t use any magic. Her sloping emerald eyes crinkled at the corners as she gave a delightedly sinister giggle. Robin just crossed his arms across his chest and continued to look unperturbed.
Finally she spoke, her voice soft and velvety "You are the first one in a long time to strike me. You use the element of surprise quite well. You interest me boy, what are you called?"
"Robin" he responded.
She smile on the woman's face grew, exposing the tips of her teeth. Robin noticed that there were tinted blue, like porcelain. They looked thin and incredibly sharp.
"Well, Robin," the name rolled off her tongue "I know what you were doing here, and why you were doing it."
At this Robin's eyes narrowed, wondering where the woman was going with her information.
"Now I have to decide what to do with you. I noticed you have an...interesting love life, but that seems a little to easy. You have a loving family, but they don't know about you do they?"
Robin was gritting his teeth, this person, whatever it was, had him at a disadvantage. She, he, it knew more about Robin, than Robin knew about it, not to mention this thing had information about his private, normal life.
"But no! I think I have the perfect thing, just the thing!"
With that she clapped her hands and giggled in amusement. The room plunged into darkness.
