She watched as Trowa stepped out of the car first, and turned and helped Quatre out. She almost squealed when Heero and Duo got out the other side. Fight the urge Relena, Fight the urge to run to him and seduce him. Relena laughed to her self and started forward, closly followed by Dorthy who had seen Quatre get out.
Sally Po walked eagerly up behind them and startled them when she spoke."Was Wufei invited?"
Relena nodded, then all three of the lovesick girls stopped dead in their tracks as Wufei stepped out, helping a very beutiful girl out after him. Sally Po stepped back in disgust as he let her take a hold of his arm. Relena looked hard to see if she knew the girl who had stepped out. Her eyes brightened as she ran full sprint over to them. Heero saw Relena running, and tried to hide behind Trowa, who was trying his hardest to brush Heero off.
Max saw this and smirked. I wonder what the fearless perfect soldier could be hiding from?.................Oh NO! Not her. She thought as she turned and and saw Relena running strait at her with tears welling in her eyes. Max took a deep breath and smiled as Relena glomps around her tightly.
"Phoenix! I am SO glad you came. " Relena screamed in Max's ear as she pulled away.
Heero, as well as the others looked at Max then at Relena, then back at Max. They all had these very confused looks on their faces. Max laughed with Relena, even though she despised the girl. Relena turned back to the ball room and dragged Max in, with out paying one bit attention to the bewildered guys staring at them.
"Dorthy, Look!" Relena said swinging Max in frount of her.
Max turned to look back at her friends that walked up behind them . Dorthy saw them too, and pushed Relena out of the way and grabbed Quatre.
"dance with me!" She said pulling him off before he could answer her.
Heero had followed Duo off to the table of food, and Trowa took off to find Catherine. Relena stopped and politely left Max and Wufei, to go greet her other guests.
"I guess you know Peacecraft." Wufei smirked and walked up beside her. She pursed her lips and looked at him hard.
"As much as I hate to. That girl gives me the heebbie-jeebbies."
She turned to face him, to see a rather un-wufie like grin. He grabbed her around her waist and swung her around, Then stopping and dipping her down. She gasp in shock as he gently pulled her back up. She hit his shoulder playfully.
"What was that for?" She taunted, right before a large hand with long bony fingers landed on her shoulder, causing her to jump into Wufei's arms.
She turned with a jolt to see who had, had the nerve to scare the hell out of her. She screamed with delight and jumped into the tall man's arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and burring her face in his shoulder. He laughed as he set her down.
"MILYARDO!!!" She said as she looked up at him smiling back down at her.
"Trent didn't say you were coming with him. You look fab-u-lous. Never seen you in a dress, I like this look better."
Max smiled and turned back to Wufei, who was unfortunatly not there. Damn it! Right when I need support. Lord please, PLEASE let Trent leave me alone.
"Pheonix did you hear me?" Milyardo said startling her once again.She nodded and latched around him once again. I heard you, please protect me. You always have.
"I didn't come with Trent, I came alone" She said knowing that he hadn't seen Wufei.
Miyardo stepped back and looked at Max. He looked down her frame, frowning at the low neck line, smirking at the cobra's head. He started back up when he got back to her face he shook his head and whistled. He bowed deeply as a waltz began to play.
"May I have this dance?"
"No, I affraid I couldn't allow that." Wufei intervined and pulled Max close to him, making sure the other pilots weren't looking.
Max smiled and leaned in."Why not Chang?"
"Because this is my bird of eternal love and life." Wufei said turning around, with Max hugging his waist.
She hit him lightly on the chest and stopped, to look him in the eyes.
"Do you know who that was? That is the man who saved me, trained me, and took me in." She said pulling him back to Milyardo who was turned around talking with his fiancee, Lt. Noin.
Max walked up and tried to appologize."Gomen, Master Milyardo. Is this your...?"
"yep."
"This is...?"
"Yep"
"She is as... "
"Yeah, isn't she. She will Mrs. Peacecraft in a few months." Milyardo said cutting her off each question.
Max grunted at him stopping her. He studdered and tried to introduce her and had great difficulty. He finally managed to spit it out but Noin had already walked of to mingle. Milyardo tunred back to face Max and saw that Trint was coming up behind her.
"Trint. Guess who's here?"
Max didn't dare turn around. She already felt the cold hard gaze of hatred and desire on the back of her neck. She began to pray that he would just keep going andl eave her be. She felt the strong grip of the cold hearted, cold blooded, twenty-two year old's hand come down on her shoulder. She stiffened and turned around. She looked up at him and noticed that he still had a black eye, and he had gained a knot on the bridge of his nose, where she had broke it.
He smirked at her and tried to lead her away from the only two people that would stopped him. She braced her feet against the ground and buckled her knees. Trint gave her a warning look. Suddenly Trint's grip was broken when Wufei stepped in between him and Max. He tilted his head down in respect and stood his ground as Trint tried to get a grip on Max.
"Get away from me chic."
"It's Chang." Wufei said in a very calmm voice.
Milyardo stared at the two as confused as he can be. Trint walked past Wufei, yet Wufei placed his hand on Trint's chest and pushed him back.
"Leave her alone."
"I am her boyfriend, so move"
"I don't think so. Firt of all if you were her boyfriend she would have come with you. Second if you were her boyfriend you would treat her with respect. Last if you were, you would'nt have made her life a living hell, by beating her!"
Trint's eyes narrowed and he looked to Milyardo for asistancce, but he was staring at him with the same hate in his eyes as the chinese boy. Trint turned around to walk away then, jerked back around and swung at Wufei. Wufei grabbed his arm and swung him over his shoulder. He layed Trint on the floor not paying any attention to the attention that they were atracting. Wufei got up and dusted himself off.
He started to walk away when Trin't jumped him from behind. Wufei turned and placed his small hand around the tall man's neck. He that Max was fighting back tears so he decided to take out the trash. Wufei turned to the balcony and dragged Trint, even though he was struggling. He stopped at the railing and lifted trint up over the railing and let trint's feet dangle over the edge of the three story manchion.
"I will let you live if you her alone, she is mine. You abused the eternal bird, and now if even think about harming her again, I warn you , I am justice, and I do justice, my way." Wufei warned the hatred of eons welling upinside of him.
"Why should you protect the seven-cent -slut, she's a bitch and you are nothing but a worthless chic." Trint gasp as he spat in wufei's face.
Wufei wiped away the spit and looked at Trint. He lifted Trint up a little further and tossed him up a little. Trint started falling and when his face got in the right place Wufei hit Trint's nose with his palm shoving the bridge in to his brain and instantly killing him. Wufei watched as the body fell, limply flairing.
Wufei chringed as the body hit the concrete below, sending the body in to peices, blood going everwhere covering the brush under neath the balcony. Wufei turned and started walking back into the ballroom. Max went over to him, and wrapped her arms around his neck burrining her head in the dipof his neck. He smiled into her hair .
"Shh, it is all over now he will never bother you again."
"I knew what you were going to do, and I told Master. Gomen, I had to. I told him how he treated me. He has already sent someone to clean it up. Oh my Wufei, you've set me free." She said as they walked to the other balcony.
A beutiful dance began to play and Wufei took Max's hands in his and they began to dance on the balocony. He spun he around, dipped her down and raised her up as delicatly, and gracefully as an aristcrat itself. When the music stopped they ended up where her arms were around his neck and his around hers.. The walked over to the edge and looked out at the horizon at the millions of stars. Slowly small white snow flakes began to fall, speckleing on their hair. Max lookied over at Wufei , smiled and whispered
"Angle Kisses"
"We could do better" He said pulling her in and delicatly pressing his lips to her soft warm ones.
Tenderly he brought his hand up to caress her hair softly, as she played with his small ponytail, twisting it around her fingers and rubbing it agains thte back of his neck. Duo was talking cheerfully to Milyardo when he just happened to glance out to the balocny. He casually looked back to his conversation, then jerked his head back as he tried to determine what he had just seen. His eyes got wide and for the first time in his life was completely speechless.
Milyardo looked to see what the gundam pilot was gawking at, then he saw them. He went over to the door of the balcony and gasped as he saw something that scared him. Phoenix you are a good girl, I didn't train you to do this. I got new for you, I think you will like it. Anything to get you away from him! He walked over and broke tthem up he smiled and began
"Pheonix, I have something for you. A new kind of mobile suit. I think you will ike it, it has the same structure as the gundams. Come on I'll show you." He said leading her off placing his arm around her shoulder. Hmph. Wufei you are not going to coruppt her. She is like a little sister to me, one who loves to fight, but is one the best you'll ever meet.
"Oh my god." MAx said stopping in her tracks when she saw her beloved Fire eyes. She smiled as she fought the urge to run and hug her gundam. Milyardo stepped forward and ran his hand along the foot.
"It's beautiful isn't it? I got this the last battle, the pilot was killed, had to be. no one could have surrvived that, not even the world-renouned Heero Yuy. I brought it back and fixed it up, it had major damage to the cockpit, but it is fine now. We made some of our own adjustments. Such as I improved the accuracy in the beam cannon, I streagthened the laser sword, and I added wings sothat you will be better able to fly, i hope you don't mind Pheonix but......." He said pushing a small button causing the wings, which was folded around the gundam like a cocoon, swingg out exposing mighty wings of gundamium. "This is the best part. Watch." He pushed it again and smiled as the wings flared out in bright red , orange , and yellow feather like beams.
She gasped as she watched the fire of the great Pheonix burned.
"The wing's of the Pheonix." Max studdered.
Her mouth became heavy and it dropped open as she watched as the Gundam knelt down to recieve it's pilot.
"Whose is it?" Max said trying not to persuade him that she had never seen it before.
"Your's now. I heard you didn't have one, and you being my best solider, my sister and my friend I thought that you should have it."
"Mr. Peacecraft you know I ain't your sister sir."
"You're my my blood sister and you know that as well as I do. Remeber" He said showing her the long slash mark scar on his wrist.
She brought her own wrist up to look at it. She pulled Her sleeve up and put her wrist aside his. The same marks were on their wrist. A locking symbol of their undying friendship.
"Milyardo, don't you know that that me attacking you"
.He smiled and nodded."I do, because you are the only one that I ever trained to fight exactcally like me. You destroyed the base then went after the mobile suits. I am proud."
"Then why did you say that the pilot was dead? And why were you fighting for Oz?"
"So many questions. The reason I said that pilot was dead is because she is. You are the Eternal Pheonix. Pheonix Enternal, your mother born name. When you fought that day for the first time, you no longer felt afraid, all of your fears died when you showed the courage of a fighter, a true solider. Yet you don't fight for what other people tell you too, you fight for the right to live, you fight by what is in your heart, and you for revenge. I wasn't fighting for Oz, I was there beacause I knew you would be, and you had to be tested." Milyardo said walking her back up to the ballroom where Quatre was waiting for her.
"Pheonix, It's starting to snow, we are going home OK."
"I will be home in alittle while there are a few stops I would like to make." She said softly.
Quatre nodded and thanked Zechs for the party and left, followed by Heero and Trowa. Duo stopped to talk to her when the guys were a little ahead.
"So... Pheonix, ,when are you Wufei getting married hmmmmm?"
"Please Duo, don't tell Uncle. "
"Why not?"
"Duo, please. Leave me alone right now." She said, not about to put up with his mouth. She slid behind Zechs and watched Duo catch up to Wufei who had walked past.

Max walked trough the cementary in silence. She stopped at twelve monuments that were in a straight row. She kneeled down and layed a single rose on every untill she got to the tomestone that read : Elia Keaton, and Ricko Keaton, mother, father of their only child Maxine Delilia Keaton. Max inhaled deeply, letting it out in choppy breaths, as she shivered kneeling in the snow, that now covered the ground.
"Mother, please forgive me. Father I am so sorry , I disobeyed you. I disgraced the families ways."
Max said getting up and walking past the other monuments that read : Iona Winner, Michelle Winner, Starla Winner, Kiara Winner, Fransisca Winner, Alexias Winner, Tiniasha Winner, Leona Winner, Nastasia Winner, Xeona Winner, and Hatia Winner. Uncle Quatre how can you not know that you and I are the last of the Winner's. The last of a great line of great people. They were all killed in that horrible war. She thought choking back tears that burned at her eyes.
She walked across the stone path to the tomestones that showed that the last seventeen memmbers of of the Winner family . She stopped and said a prayer before she left throught the gate. Burr. I should have went with Quatre. My leg is frezzing. She pulled herself up in to her Gundam. She sat down and pulled the slit of her dress together trying to keep the wind from it. She shut the cockpit and started it up. The cockpit lit up yet instead of lighting up reguarly it lighted up purple. She smiled and sighed. She looked around and found her harness. She pulled in over her and noticed a small white rose tied to the latch, with a note. Which stated :Max,a sinlge white rose for a beutiful girl.Chang Wufei.She laughed as she read it.She would make sure to thank him personally when she got home.

Wufei paced back in forth infront of the door, waiting impaitenly for Max to show up. He heard the door open and his eyes lit up , but dulled back down as Duo walked in.
"Wu-Wu, what are you worried about? It must be Max."
"What?! Why would I be worried about that inncolent weak woman?!" Wufei huffed.
"Wu, Wu, Wu. I saw ya'll. At the party I saw everything. Go to bed she be fine." Duo said laying his hand on Wufei's shoulder and pushing him towards the bathroom.
Wufei snarled and went in to the bathroom, washed up and changed. He came out bearing nothing but his black boxers as he threw a towel over his shoulder, he silently went up to his room and shut the door. He lit all of his candles and sat down on the bed and layed his head in the palm of his hands. He lay back on the bed and drifted slowly off to sleep. Max slipped in the back door silently, slipping off her shoes, so not to wake anybody.
She tippy-toed queitly to her room and slipped in to her satin pajama set. She layed down moving Halo to the side. Max lay there for a few minutes and began to shiver.Wufei tossed and turned as his mind tormented him. He saw himself holding Mearian, then right before they kissed she burst into flames. He feel to his knees trying despratly to save her, She burned till all that was left of her was her ashes. He slammed his fist aginst the ground. A gentally breeze came down, blowing the ashes away.
Wufei looked up and out of nowhere a angle cupped her hands around his face lifting him up gently. She took him in her arms and laid him on a cloud. The angel knelt down beside him and caressed his face with one hand. He looked up at the beutiful angle and made her out to be Max. Wufei reached out to her but she turned away as he woke up.
He sat up and looked around. He was sweating, yet he laid back down and drifted in and out of consiuosness.Max walked in to her lover's room. She looked toward the bed and saw that he was sweating. She wnet over to him and brushed his hair from his face.
"Wufei." she spoke softly. Wufei moaned and opened his eyes. He saw her and sat straight up.
"What is the matter?" He said trowing the sheets off of him and swing his legs around to place them on the floor next to Max.
"Nothing I 'm cold. Do you know where Uncle keeps his extra blankets?" She said shaking.
Wufei's worried expressioin turned to a soft one as He scooted over on his bed an slipped his feet back under the covers. She frowned as she thought that he was just going to ignore her and go back to sleep. Wufei saw her frown and wrapped his arms around her pulling her up oon to the bed beside him. He threw the covers over her legs. She looked at him. He smiled
"You can stay in here. I will warm you up." He said laying back taking her with him.
He pulled the covers up over them and pulled her close to him.
"Are you warm?"
"Yes, but Wufei I..."
"We aren't gonna do anything. I don't care about that. Ai Shiteiru. For who you are."
She smiled at his respect for her and cuddeled up closer to him.
Can Duo keep his secret?
Will Zechs keep his promise to seperate the Lovebirds?
