House Rules
Zeroeth House RuleThis shouldn't even have to be stated, and it isn't so much a house rule as how the game is intended to be played. This is just in case any players aren't sure:
1. No player is to look at the No Man's Land sections of any books without prior approval.
2. No player is to look at the Marshal's section of any book at all.
3. This includes players who have previously played. There is no need to refresh your memory.
4. The following books and materials are off limits without very specific circumstances and this includes any Possee sections within. Unless your character's background is from the region, I ask you stay out of the boxed set sourcebooks and have included them in the list:
-The Marshal's Handbook
-Rascals Varmints and Critters
-Rascals Varmints and Critters 2: The Book o' Curses
-The Agency: Men in Black Dusters
-City o' Gloom Sourcebook
-Great Maze Sourcebook
-River o' Blood Sourcebook
-Boomtowns Sourcebook
-Quests such as Devil's Tower Trilogy and Canyon o' Doom
-The Dime Novels Independence Day and Night Train
5. This being said, players may read Tales o' Terror: 1877 Posse section, and any of the other dime novels.
6. If you suspect something strange about someone elses character, please do not make out of character guesses at their true nature.
Thanks for your cooperation on this! I ask it only to give you guys challenges beyond what you remembered reading the other day.
Blessed may never have more gifts than they do miracles.
Hucksters may spend a fate chip to toss and redraw a number of cards after has has been dealt. If a Black Joker is drawn, it cannot be tossed.
White-1 card
Red-2 cards
Blue-3 cards, or 4 if they have an Ace.When a Huckster buys a new hex after character creation, he starts out casting it as if his Hexslingin' skill were 1. Each successful casting increases its effective level by 1 until it reaches his current Hexslingin' level. After that it is treated normally.
A character subtracts his level in wounds to his legs from his Pace.
